Accessibility Statement

Last updated: May 2026

Our Commitment

Your Own Universe LLC ("we," "us") is committed to ensuring that the YOU Aura application (youaura.tech) is accessible to people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for everyone.

Measures We Take

We take the following measures to ensure accessibility of YOU Aura:

  • All images and icons include descriptive alternative text (alt text) or are marked as decorative.
  • Our color contrast ratios meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA minimum requirements.
  • All interactive elements (buttons, links, forms) are keyboard navigable and focusable.
  • Forms include visible labels and descriptive error messages.
  • Pages use proper semantic HTML headings (H1, H2, H3) to establish a logical reading order.
  • The site uses ARIA landmarks and roles to assist screen readers.
  • Videos and audio content include captions or transcripts where applicable.
  • Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
  • The site is designed to work with common assistive technologies including screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver) and keyboard-only navigation.

Known Limitations

We are aware that some areas of the site may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards, particularly within third-party embedded content (e.g., Zoom meeting links, Stripe payment pages). We are actively working to address these areas and improve overall accessibility. Third-party services maintain their own accessibility commitments.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance

We are committed to complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), including Title III, which requires places of public accommodation to provide equal access to individuals with disabilities. We treat our website as a place of public accommodation and strive to ensure it is usable by all people, including those with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.

Section 508

While Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act applies primarily to federal agencies, we voluntarily adopt its principles as best practices for electronic and information technology accessibility.

Assistive Technology Support

We support use of the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers: JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), TalkBack (Android)
  • Keyboard navigation: Full keyboard access to all site features
  • Browser zoom: Content remains functional at 200% zoom
  • High-contrast modes: Content is legible in system high-contrast settings
